MEDAIR Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Technician Job in Kenya

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Technician, Emergency Response

Temporary Position (3 Months)



Applications are hereby invited from qualified persons to fill the position mentioned above, based in Southern Sudan



Responsibilities:



•Develop and manage comprehensive activity project plans

•Ensure the quality construction of all water and sanitation structures

•Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation assessments against project objectives.

•Ability to operate, repair, and train on usage of India Mark II hand pumps

•Timely preparation of Field Visit Reports, Assessment Reports, meeting minutes etc. for the Water Team

•Develop and maintain good working relationships with the communities, NGOs, counterparts, and other agencies working in the areas of project implementation.

Requirements:



•Diploma in either Water Technology (especially drilling techniques) Hydrology or civil engineering

•At least one year working experience in a developing country, experience in Southern Sudan an added advantage

•Good written and oral communication skills

•Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail applications
