1. Enterprise Sales Account Manager

Reporting to the Enterprise Director the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

2. Systems Support Engineer / Consultant

Reporting to the Technical Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Fault diagnosis, break fix against contractual SLAs, to multi-vendor hardware and operating environment support predominantly within the Storage and Processing environment
  • Fault diagnosis and resolution of unix, windows, application issues and software upgrades.
  • Liaison with on and off-site customers, new systems builds and installations
Skills & Qualifications
  • University degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
  • Multivendor Hardware break fix / support skills covering HP, Sun, IBM and Dell manufactured equipment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as support engineer with Server/Storage, installation and support activities
  • Ability to manage under pressure and to deliver to deadlines, to work through complex requirements.
  • Attention to detail, timeline efficient, personally organised.
  • Microsoft MCSE /Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent network certification
  • HP / SUN / IBM / Dell Hardware Certification /HPUX / Solaris / AIX Certifications and experience desirable
  • Ability to work under pressure, possess a co-operative but firm personality and show flexibility as needed when dealing with sites in different locations.

AMISOM IT Database Operator Job in Nairobi Kenya



The African Union Mission for Somalia (AMISOM) is seeking to recruit a dynamic and well experienced individual who is result-oriented to fill the position of IT Database Operator to be based in Nairobi, Kenya with frequent travel to Mogadishu, Somalia.

The successful candidate will be offered a one (1) year contract.

Main Purpose of the Job

Reporting directly to the Chief Security Officer, the IT Database Operator will be responsible for designing and issuing ID cards and maintaining relational database of all personnel of the mission.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and produce ID cards to civilians, police component and the rotating troops both at AMISOM Nairobi and Mogadishu offices.
  • Create and link the ID Card system with the Human Resource (HR) database by processing, tracking and verifying confidential information and documentation including all information on existing and potential staff/contingents/rotating troops placements.
  • Generate data summaries, queries and reports from database such as ad hoc reports and user defined reports to HR, Finance and the Military Chief of Staff as required.
  • Develop correspondence related to staff/troop/contingents seeking information and notifying others of changes and distribute communication to appropriate parties.
  • Ensure integrity of data through accurate data entry and regular back-up.
  • Develop data management procedures.
  • Ensure availability of ID card materials at all times for sustained issuance to newly recruited staff and replacement of faulty cards.
  • Ensure regular preventive maintenance of the ID card equipment to operational standards.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned.
Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Diploma in Information Technology or its equivalent with at least 3 years of work experience in database application, installation and basic maintenance.

In addition, the candidate must be very familiar with Microsoft Systems, Microsoft Office and working knowledge of web application security, understanding of vulnerability and countermeasures.

Those with relevant work experience in an international organization will have an added advantage.

This program is part of a US Government initiative against HIV in Kenya that receives funding from PEPFAR through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Adult HIV Advisor

Location: Nairobi

Overall Job Function:

Reporting to the Director of Programs and as a key member of the senior technical in-country staff the Physician is responsible for the planning, coordination and providing overall direction for the Adult HIV Care and Treatment programming.

The physician will also provide strong leadership to a team of implementers working with the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To oversee the planning, initiation and implementation of HIV adult Care and Treatment services at ICAP-supported facilities.
  • To develop a standard package of Adult HIV care services and ensure its implementation in ICAP supported facilities

The officer will plan and perform day-to-day implementation of HIV care and TB/HIV treatment services at facilities

Database Manager

Location: Kisumu
Overall Job Function:

The successful applicant will provide technical support for developing a centralized computer-based record keeping/HMIS system to manage facility/patient information from ICAP Kenya supported facilities; mentor ICAP Kenya staff and facility staff on the use of the system for effective and timely update of the system.

Start-up and implement computerization in new sites and provide oversight for successful data management. S/he will report to the Senior M&E Officer - Nyanza with field travel (up to 50% time)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support computer application/database development that will ensure management, organization, storage and easy access of information from care and treatment sites
  • Support collection, cleaning and data entry
  • Track and manage the flow of facility level/patient and other data to and from facilities
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency of the data so that it meets standards of quality expected for reporting
  • Supervise installation of the system into computers at sites
  • Conduct database audits according to SOPs
  • Monitor the performance of the database
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer studies, statistics, epidemiology or mathematics;
  • At least 2 years relevant experience and advance skills in MS Access application development & programming skills; EpiInfo, SPSS; Data quality assurance; MS Office
  • Familiarity with database management system and principles;
  • Familiarity with data coding of SOP and coding dictionaries;
  • Data management and computer programming skills using Visual Basic / SQL
Provider - Initiated Counseling and Testing Coordinator Location: Kisumu

Overall Job Purpose: To strengthen the implementation of HIV counseling and testing activities in ICAP-supported facilities in Nyanza Province in collaboration with hospital management teams. The PITC Coordinator will report to the Program Director.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To oversee the planning and implementation of Provider-initiated HIV Testing and Counseling at ICAP-supported facilities
  • To ensure that Provider-initiated HIV Testing and Counseling is offered at all service points (inpatient, outpatient and clinics) at selected facilities
  • To provide training, on-going mentorship and supervision of Provider-initiated HIV Testing and Counseling to the health care workers at the selected facilities.
  • To improve linkages between HIV Testing and Counseling points and the HIV clinics for appropriate referral of patients
  • To collaborate with other partners supporting HIV testing and counselling in the community

This professional will perform all aspects of web server support including installation and configuration, application installation, and assist with network connectivity troubleshooting, and record all contacts, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions into the IT Service Desk Management tool.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Define standards for all web server builds and configurations in accordance with standards
  • Participate in defining security for all web environments
