Human Resources Director - World Vision Tanzania Jobs

World Vision Tanzania is seeking to recruit a suitable qualified Citizen of Tanzania to fill the following position:

Position: Human Resources Director
Reports to: National Director
Location: Arusha, Tanzania

Purpose of Position
  • To provide strategic direction in designing, developing and implementing strategies and systems in support of attracting, developing, and retaining a committed and productive human resource to effectively deliver the World Vision Strategy
Key responsibilities:
  • To take full accountability for the professional management and maintenance of the Human Resources and Organizational Development function.
  • To provide leadership for the review! re-design of systems, policies and procedures with special emphasis on nurturing and managing key relationships across the organization.
  • To facilitate a process of effective organizational development through the Performance management, Effective Team building, Leadership Development, and Organizational Communication appropriate to the culture and context of World Vision Tanzania.
  • To establish strategic networks with key International NGOs and other supporting agencies at the national and international level to keep updated with changes in external environment.
Knowledge skills & abilities required
  • Masters Degree in Social Sciences or any related field and a Post Graduate qualification in Human Resource Management or Organizational Development.
  • Extensive experience in Human Resource Management at Senior Executive Management level for a minimum of 5 years.
  • 5-10 years experience at senior level in leadership
  • Knowledge of normal organizational policies, labour law and legal requirements
  • Good skills in conflict resolution/problem solving, teamwork, crisis management, training facilitation and coaching.
