SUMMARY
Our client is a hardware (tools, building materials, industrial equipment) and home-ware (garden and home accessories) super store.
This is more of a customer facing job than a hardcore technical job. It involves working closely with contractors, architects, engineers in ensuring that they are supplied with the right materials as per the project specifications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Every minute detail about construction site, the works, and the feasibility of the construction should be comprehended by the engineer
• Heavy consideration should be given to the technicalities and the engineer should thoroughly understand the architectural drafting and design.
• The worker and user’s safety should be ensured. Risk management and cost optimization should also be kept in mind while ensuring the quality of the work.
EDUCATION, REQUIRMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
• BSc. in Civil Engineering or any related field
• All rounded engineers who have been in the industry for at least 2 years, who understand engineering from a wide perspective
• Have an understanding of construction chemicals, and fixing systems at a specification level
• Excellent communicator
• Quick and thorough thinker
• Sales skills (can convince a client to buy)
• Can handle advisory (specify) roles in construction
