POSITION: Deputy Director/Technical Director
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/SCOPE OF WORK:
1.Provide technical and operational guidance and oversight to CDC-funded HIV and TB programs;
2.Work closely with the CDC and other donors to ensure compliance with programmatic targets and deliverables;
3.Oversee the preparation of technical and programmatic reports to donors;
4.Attend sector cluster meetings in Nairobi, and liaise closely with potential HIV and health partner organizations;
5.Provide operational and technical support, as needed, to additional IMC programs in Kenya, in nutrition, water and sanitation, and primary health;
6.Actively identify and pursue new opportunities in HIV, TB, and primary health in Kenya;
7.Backstop the Country Director, as needed;
8.Coordinate and oversee the collection of data and other M&E processes, in collaboration with the M&E team;
9.Conduct regular technical assistance visits to the program sites throughout Kenya
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Masters degree or relevant equivalent in Public Health
2.Proven technical expertise in public health, HIV, and TB
3.Minimum of ten years experience working in Africa; Kenya preferred
4.Knowledge of PEPFAR grants
5.Excellent knowledge of and experience working with USAID, CDC, PRM, and the UN
6.Cultural sensitivity
