Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include:Facilitate formulation, implement and review of human resource management and administration policies, procedures and strategies;Manage staff development and performance management systems;Provide leadership and coordinate strategic planning in the department;Implement administrative guidelines on labour laws, constitutional requirements and any other statutes issued by government from time to time;Provide prudent management of physical resources of the commission;Coordinate the provision of security services at the commissions.Masters degree in any of the following fields: Human Resource Management/Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, Education or any other related field from a university recognized by the Commission;Have served in the grade of assistant commission secretary or in a comparable and relevant position for a minimum period three (3) years;Have a thorough knowledge of labour laws and public service policies;Proficiency in computer applications;Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence and achievement of performance targets and results as reflected in the performance appraisal;Demonstrated adherence to ethical practices and cooperate values;Thorough understanding of national goals, policies and development objectives and ability to align them to the commission’s mandate.2.
