o A Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural relatedfield.
o Certifications in irrigation management systems.
o Ten years experience in cash crop production with at leasttwo years experience in Drip irrigation.
o Have excellent management skills.
o Ability to work well as part of a team
Duties and Responsibilities
o Plans and directs construction, maintenance, and operationof irrigation system. Study the capacity of present facilities, agriculturalrequirements, crop trends, and projected future water needs aligning it withthe company policy.
o ssesses designs, and oversees construction of irrigationprojects distributing water to agricultural lands.
o Design irrigation systems, knowledgeable in crop waterrequirement, conversant with workings of boreholes.
o Monitors irrigation system and coordinates maintenance,Inspects field operations, distribution of water within divisions and reviewsperiodic reports from subordinates to determine projects progress.
o Plans and designs irrigation fixtures including installationof fixtures as per requirements and specifications.
o Research on problems of soil drainage and conservation.
