BBC Somali Service Broadcast Journalist Job in Kenya


As part of the world’s largest broadcaster, BBC Somali Service is one of the most trusted news organisations broadcasting to the Horn of Africa and the Somali diaspora.

We broadcast to huge audiences via radio, online and mobile phone platforms.

Working as part of our busy multimedia journalistic team in Nairobi, you’ll originate, research, produce and present a range of our live and recorded output, for radio, online and other media forms in Somali.

You’ll need substantial recent relevant journalistic experience and have a good understanding of multimedia broadcasting.

You’ll have Somali as your first (or equivalent) language for writing, translating and adapting material swiftly, a full comprehension of English and strong radio presentation skills.

You’ll portray your in depth and current knowledge of Somali, regional and international current affairs.
