Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the holder of this position will be charged with the responsibility of ensuring that the risk management, internal controls and governance processes of the Company are effective.
Specifically, the role holder will be responsible for:
- Implementation of internal audit strategies, policies and procedures;
- Risk assessment and drafting of the annual internal audit plan;
- Conducting preliminary surveys and preparation of audit engagement plans;
- Carrying out audit reviews to assess the effectiveness of risk management and the adequacy of internal controls using the risk based approach;
- Review of audit working papers and preparation of internal audit reports;
- Carrying out special audits or investigations as may be required from time to time;
- Follow up reviews and assess implementation of management action plans to address internal control deficiencies.
Qualifications and Competencies
- A Business related bachelors degree; plus a professional qualification in Accounting preferably CPA (K) or ACCA;
- A minimum of 3 years working experience in a busy FMCG Internal Audit Department;
- Computer literate with hands on experience in use of an Enterprise Resource Planning tool (ERP;
- Certification in CIA or CISA will be an added advantage;
- Familiar with Computer Aided Audit Techniques (CAATs);
- Good communication skills with ability to meet deadlines and a team player;
- Person of high integrity with self discipline, creativity as well as being an innovative and strategic thinker.
Assistant Security Officer

The job holder in consultation with the Security Officer will oversee the security function of the
Company at all times and provide Management reports on the same.

The job holder in consultation with the Security Officer will oversee the security function of the
Company at all times and provide Management reports on the same.
Specifically, the person will be responsible for:-
- Ensuring effective implementation of the Security policies in the organisation and that the same is enforced at all times;
- Carry out investigations on all incidents of security nature, liaise with external security organs where necessary and file reports;
- Ensure that all security equipment is in good working condition;
- Supervise the contracted security company personnel on all aspects of their performance;
- Assist in the enforcement of safety measures and discipline through facilitation of sensitization programs;
- Keep an inventory of all company assets leaving the premises and to follow up to ensure return of the same;
- Carry out continuous security audits and recommend preventive or corrective measures through the Head of Security;
- Undertake continuous security risk assessments on all company property and operations and advise Management, recommending necessary corrective/ preventive action in consultation with the Head of Department.
Qualifications and Competencies
- A Degree or Diploma in Social Sciences or Criminology is desirable;
- Proved knowledge in use of Surveillance systems, crime and fraud detection;
- Proven practical knowledge and experience in security matters administration
- Minimum 5 years experience in security management or law enforcement within the disciplined forces.
- Computer literate with a clean valid driving license
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem solving, report writing skills and ability to meet strict deadlines and working for long hours.
