General Motors East Africa Production Supervisor Job in Kenya

General Motors East Africa Ltd the franchise holder for Isuzu and Chevrolet is a subsidiary of General Motors Company, the world leader in Automotive Technology.

Due to the expansion the company has the following vacancy:

Production Supervisor

Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

• Developing production objectives
• Monitoring and taking necessary corrective actions to meet set production objectives
• Enforcing relevant work standards
• Controlling operating costs
• Initiating and participating in continuous productivity improvement
• Staff development through continuous training, coaching, supervision and performance management
• Participating in production problem resolution
• Preparing production reports and maintaining administrative records
• Maintaining sound labor relations

For appointment to this position, the successful candidate must have the following minimum requirements-

• Bachelors degree(honours) in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum five years experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in computer Applications
• Excellent planning, organization, interpersonal and communication skills
