Reporting to the Telephone Account Manager, the role holder will be responsible for meeting overall SME sales acquisition and revenue targets through prospecting and making outbound sales contact to potential businesses, and existing business customers. 

This role will ensure month to month ARPA growth of existing customers, and new business from potential SME customers.

The job holder’s key responsibilities will be to:

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Billing & SDM Planning, the responsibility of the Billing Planning Team shall include but is not limited to the convergent billing system (CBS), Mediation Platform and Partner Relationship Management (PRM).

Reporting to the Senior Manager: Configuration & Support, the role holder responsibilities will include and not be limited to

troubleshooting and resolution of faults & failures in the access transmission and VSAT network;providing technical assistance to sectional and field engineers in the fault resolution process; providing long term transmission system solutions, configuration and support;providing second line support to transmission system faults escalated from first line maintenance & maintenance service providers; follow up with the vendors of the transmission equipment for resolution of faults escalated to 3rd level support. These will also include performing transmission upgrades and major network configuration changes; developing tools for automation and speed up the support processes and participation in the introduction and acceptance of new systems and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director - Corporate Affairs, the successful candidate will be responsible for end to end management of the company’s internal and external communications strategy designed to present and maintain a positive public image of Safaricom in line with the Safaricom’s commitment to being a truly transformative Kenyan business that goes beyond its limits to meet customer demands.To develop and provide strategic thought leadership for both internal and external audiences in the areas of media management, digital asset and social media engagement, crisis communications, internal and external corporate publications, executive PR and media training;Ensure that the Safaricom brand maintains cordial and mutually beneficial ties with its entire stakeholder universe, including the media, regulators, shareholders, customers, future generations etc. These relationships have to be based on the Safaricom 2.0 key tenets of openness, accountability, truth, speed and honesty.Develop and implement a strategic online reputation management plan for the Safaricom brand.
