Background | |
Organizational Context UNDP Southern Sudan has been providing the Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS) with support in the area of economic planning since 2006. The aim of the Support to Economic Planning (SEP) project is to provide institutional support to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MoFEP) and related GoSS institutions so that:
SEP’s support to GoSS is provided through a number of mechanisms, including long-term advisory services, tailored training courses, short-term consultancies and workshops. The project is planning to procure an Aid Management Information System for MoFEP, and to facilitate study tours for senior officials. As a result of the project’s expansion, particularly in terms of support to the SSCCSE and SSFFAMC, UNDP engaged a full-time project manager to manage the project. Reporting to UNDP’s Head of Poverty Reduction and MDGs, the project manager will be responsible for managing the day to day activities of the SEP, including management of its workplan, co-ordination of advisers, implementation of project activities (workshops, study tours), procurement, and reporting, both to UNDP and GoSS.
