OBJECTIVE
Acting within the Association's mandate, you will be in charge of actively contributing to the implementation and development of projects, team management, relationships animation with partners and institutions.
The position requires on-going monitoring of the capacity of programmes to respond to beneficiaries' needs through, evaluation of programme impact on beneficiaries, transfer of knowledge and skills to and between teams, and active contribution to the establishment of partnerships.
MISSIONS
Coordinate and manage the program:
- Define and plan activities with respect of the available financial, logistical, material and human resources, supervise implementation, and evaluate on an on-going basis.
- Ensure the proper implementation of the project, with special attention to the coordination of the various actors involved and to respecting fixed objectives.
- Collect and analyse the information required for the preparation of narrative and financial report.
Define technical undertakings and act as principal contact point:
- Undertake assessments, analysis, studies and/or research to identify future beneficiaries and their needs
- Refer to this research to propose and establish socio-educational and awareness programmes with respect of the context, the Mission strategy and objectives.
- Develop and analyse new socio-educational activity concepts.
- Monitor the regular evaluation of the programme’s pertinence and the quality of actions
- Undertake the permanent evaluation of the activities’ impact on the children and the Mission Partners.
- Once the mission framework has been defined, ensure each project's guiding principles are respected.
- Establish policies and processes in order to improve the team's working methodologies
- Monitor project synergies and cohesion
Supervise the project team:
- Manage, implement and delegate activity responsibilities and tasks.
- Identify team strengths and weaknesses and make suggestions concerning its structure.
- Organise recruitment of national project staff; defining the job descriptions, organising interviews and select the candidates.
- Continuously evaluate skills, training requirements and professional development intentions.
- Organise information-sharing/team meetings
Undertake skills transfer :
- Define and/or validate a training plan
- Create tools and present training within personal areas of expertise
- Capacity building of the project staff.
- Participate in the development of establishment projects (decision-making bodies, structure, etc.)
- Assist in the identification of possibilities for increasing activities autonomy.
Reporting :
- Participate in programme reporting to principal funding partners.
- Weekly, monthly, internal report.
- Assist in proposal writing when necessary
Representation:
- Identify and propose potential Technical Partners / officially represent the association with regards to Technical Partners with validation of the Head of Mission.
- Participate in technical meetings and develop relationships with Operational or Institutional Partners.

Directly supervises the project team (national and expatriate)
PROFILE:
Formal Education:
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Development, or other related fields
Work experience:
- At least 3 years previous experience in working for an NGO in a developing country, preferably in Sudan at least 1 of which as a project manager or similar
- Experience in project evaluation and project monitoring
- Experience in community development and Child Protection system
- Experience in training and case management required
- Knowledge of Life Skills activities is a plus
- Experience in Family Tracing Reintegration in emergency context is an asset
Basic experience in logistics and finance would be an asset
Other skills:
- Good knowledge of donor policies, reporting and funding procedures
- Knowledge of child protection, child rights and good knowledge of specialised humanitarian actors
- Good interpersonal skills, flexibility, ability to work under pressure, good team spirit
- Commitment to child protection
- Fluency in English (reporting level)
- Rational and organized
CONDITIONS:
