Background
The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa, is the first school in a planned network of state-of-the-art, residential, IB schools dedicated to expanding access to education of an international standard of excellence. The Academies educate girls and boys from pre-primary through higher secondary, regardless of their ability to pay. The campus is located on a beautiful 7.4 ha site overlooking the Indian Ocean in Mombasa. Upon completion of the residential facilities, which are currently under construction, the Campus will consist of over 30,000 square meters of high quality academic, athletic, dining, residential, and administrative and services buildings in addition to extensive sports fields and hard and soft landscaped areas. The Academy will house and serve over 1,000 students, faculty and staff -- almost double today’s population.We invite applications for the following Position at the Academy:
1. Support Services Coordinators
Duties & responsibilities:
• Transport: Managing the Transport functions, this includes implementing policies, negotiating with suppliers, putting systems in place to track costs and customer service.
• Function & Class activities: Responsible for arranging, providing assistance and in organizing all the support services for class activities – both in house or outside campus and for Functions - both in house and private held at the Academy.
• Residential campus: Coordinate Maintenance and Housekeeping services at the student’s dorms.
• Personal files: Update personnel files with the required documents.
• Invoices: Ensure timely payments of all utilities and other support related invoices items purchased.
• Staff Transition: Coordinate Teachers relocation by providing assistance for their transition process.
Qualifications & Experience:
• College degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics or other related field.
• Work experience along with a “hand on” approach in implementing and managing system.
• Minimum of 3 years experience; preferable, in a similar business environment.
