Description
German Agro Action is operating in various districts in Kenya and is currently looking for qualified Civil Engineers for fixed term field based positions in the various districts within Kenya.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & PROFILE
To qualify for this position successful candidates will:
• Be at least a bachelor degree holder in Civil Engineering
• Have knowledge and proven experience in:
• Designing water supply systems (boreholes, pipelines, reservoirs, shallow wells, dams) appropriate to requirements and local conditions, with particular experience in
- Detailed construction layout including reinforcement design
- Developing Bill of Quantities according to agreed designs
- Project Planning timeliness
- Project reporting
- Water resources management and community work
- CAD (computer assisted drawing Auto Cad)
• Be ambitious, honest, self-motivated and willing to work unsupervised
• Be a team player, flexible and supporting high work pressure loads
• Have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a similar
position
• Be 30 years of age and above
• Be willing to live and work in rural communities
• Be prepared to start immediately.
