Diocese of Meru is urgently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill in the position of a Technical Manager in Tuuru Water Supply.
Minimum qualifications and skills:

- Have academic qualifications of KCSE C+ and above or it’s equivalent.
- Diploma in water engineering from a recognized institution.
- Be proficient in computer application skills.
- At least 3 years experience in a busy water supply and specifically a gravity scheme.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
- Self motivated
- Ability to work with minimum or no supervision.
- Ability to meet targets within defined deadlines and a passion and commitment to quality service performance.
- Skills and experience on curbing unaccounted – for – water will be an added advantage.
- Must be between 30 and 45 years of age.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- To ensure effective and efficient operation and maintenance of the scheme
- Plan and administer the day to day maintenance of the scheme
- Supervise O&M staff in the field
- Undertake technical assessments of the supply system, structures and installations
- Recommend measures and systems to be put in place to curb the unaccounted – for – water to the management
- Ensure that unaccounted for water is minimised to an acceptable degree
- Develop staff appraisal procedures and submit to the management for approval
- Prepare staff performance contracts
- Preparation of technical and progressive reports to the management on monthly basis
- Monitoring and evaluation
