At present, MSFCH operates in three programmes locations in Kenya, Somalia and Sudan:

Main Tasks:
- Support the Hospital Nursing Supervisor in the nursing activities
- Ensure advanced nursing care by MSF Nursing staff according to MSF Protocol
- Supervise the Central Pharmacy Stock in collaboration with Pharmacist
- Work in collaboration with the Health Post Nurse for continuity of care & Logistics Department to meet Hospital needs.
- Support and supervise the Head Nurse in the Hospital Management
- Assure adequate staff of the nursing team
- Report immediately to the technical referent any problem arising in the service, especially the loss/robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines
- Define the priorities in terms of training needs as well as the learning objectives
- Implement training according to MSF Protocols and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Nurse with diploma/degree recognised by the government and registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- 2 year experience working in a busy hospital setup as a Head Nurse
- MSF experience an advantage
Personal qualities:
- Organized, methodical and accurate
- Able to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
- Good team player.
- Motivated with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new working methods.
- Ability to live and work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
