Senior Platinum Support Engineer
Ref: TECHNOLOGY_ SPSE _July 2011

Reporting to the Senior Manager Enterprise Support Service, the holder will ensure the retention of top 100 enterprise platinum customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive activities required to ensure maximum availability of service;
  • Engage on service diagnostics /audits & assess the system readiness regularly;
  • Strive to meet fault management thresholds as per agreed SLA;
  • Comprehensive Fault Reports detailing failure issues.
Minimum requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, or Bsc. Electrical & electronic engineering, Telecommunication engineering or equivalent;
  • CCNA, CCNP/CCIP a must;
  • Excellent IP skills including but not limited to MPLS, VRRP, HSRP, GLBP, IPSEC VPN, GRE Tunnels and BGP.
  • Hands-on experience in technical support and implementation/configuration;
  • Excellent technical reporting skills;
  • Customer care experience a must;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Innovative and self motivated;
  • Result oriented;
  • Self-Confidence.

Title: Legal Officer

Key Responsibilities
  • Giving legal advice and opinions on claims involving third party injuries or material damage
  • Overseeing and ensuring provision of efficient services from external lawyers
  • Negotiating out of court settlements on third party claims and recoveries
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Advising the management on the appropriateness or otherwise of legal proceedings or alternative ways of dealing with legal matters
  • Liaising with and appointment of lawyers, doctors and investigators
  • Claims cost management
Person Profile
  • A university law graduate and advocate of the High Court of Kenya
  • At least 30 years of age
  • At least 3 years experience in civil litigation or similar position with a general underwriter
  • Well developed Information technology skills
  • Insurance qualifications would be an added advantage
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Main Purpose of the Job
  • To provide management with information for decision making, in cost and pricing decision
  • To analyse & appraise product development projects
  • To analyse & appraise other supply chain projects
  • To ensure creditors are maintained at optimal levels
Main Responsibilities
  • Current product costs including accurate and up-to-date landed costs
  • Variance analysis to explain differences between actual and budgeted overheads
  • Project appraisal for all projects within supply chain
  • Monitor supply chain departmental& Manufacturing sites expenses against budget
  • Procurement analysis – Monitor GRN Suspense and Commitments
  • Inventory management as pertains to planning for stock take and updating the same in the system, inventory cost changes etc.
  • Subsidiary Management & Financial Accounts
  • Preparation of cost of sales budget
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
  • 2 years experience preferably from the manufacturing sector
  • C.P.A (K) or equivalent or BCom
