WWF- Eastern & Southern Africa Regional Programme Office (WWF-ESARPO), is seeking to recruit a: Senior Accountant – Reconciliation
This is a temporary post (two months) based in Nairobi, at the WWF-Eastern & Southern Africa Regional Programme Office.
The holder of the position will play a major role in reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. S/he will be expected to investigate and process adjustments.

Qualifications and Skills:
- The ideal candidate should possess a university degree in finance / accounting or, a professional qualification- CPA/ACCA ;
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working with accounting and financial management information systems (ERP) and reporting tools, including Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Oracle Financial Systems would be an added advantage;
- Solid understanding of where & how the master and transaction data is stored in Oracle and how this data flows from one module to another.
- Analytical ability to apply this understanding in identifying and adjusting for differences between modules
- Strong proficiency in accounting;
- Thorough familiarity with the chart of accounts;
- Conceptual understanding of accounting issues, e.g. cash/accrual, prepaid charges, deferred revenue, FX gain/loss, provisions, consolidations;
- Practical experience applying these concepts, including when, where (in which module) and how entries to the different accounts should be generated ;
- Solid understanding and ease in manipulating, analyzing, reconciling large datasets using pivot tables and Excel, including use of lookup, filter, conditional formulae, data combination and match functions;
- Excellent planning ability; proven ability to meet deadlines;
- Excellent communication skills;
