Job Title: Amua Franchisee Coordinator (3 positions)

Reports to: Amua Franchise Manager

Workstation: Nakuru, Kisumu and HomaBay, with frequent field travel in the region

Salary: Kshs. 75,000

Position Objectives:

Provide business management support to the Amua franchisees within the designated region, based from Nakuru, Homa Bay and KisumuCoordinate CHW supervisors to ensure the integrity of  promotional activities according to Amua’s marketing/communication strategy and CHW work plansAssist Clinical Quality and Training activities for all AMUA franchisees within the designated regionFacilitate networking of AMUA with local authorities and partnering organization in the designated regionKey Responsibilities

Regional Supervision

Identify and recommend solutions to problems in the assigned regions that interfere with franchisee business development, clinical quality and any other Amua objectiveAssist in designing and implementing formal franchisee training for the designated regionFacilitate forum for direct exchange with peer groups involved in SRH sector and/or social franchising (as part of the agenda of the Social Franchise Network Association of Kenya  SFNAK)Ensure that each franchisee understand AMUA program, goals and protocols, and act on behalf of MSKInstill a business-minded spirit throughout the AMUA network within the designated region, driven by excellence in customer service, high quality of clinical care and professional health facility managementConduct monthly visits to each franchisee, consisting of a full review of activity and quick business audit (using standard AMUA templates, and auditing client registers)Assist each franchisee with operational and logistics needs (notably drugs, equipment, commodities, etc.)Assist service providers to identify service or product issues, and identify/propose solutionsProvide on-site training and support franchisees to correct non-standard practices, and to ensure appropriate data collection (for reporting to MoH and AMUA/MSK)Compile the business performance section of the monthly reports for each franchise and for the region- using template for AMUA field reportLead the implementation of promotional events (includes Amua Leo) as per the promotion activity planIdentify promotion opportunities for the brand AMUAAssist each franchisee in identifying promotion opportunities to generate service uptake and new clientsMeasure impact of promotional activities in designated regionLiaise with MoPHS/DHMT officials in the region as Amua’s GoK partnersCompile the “promotion activities” section of the monthly reports for each franchise and for the region- using template for AMUA field reportEnsure franchisees adhere to the signed MoU with MSK, notably the clinical quality complianceFacilitate and support clinical audits under supervision of MSK Clinical Quality & training Dpt, and ensure that each franchisee gets audited at least twice per yearAssist the Clinical Quality & Training team in monitoring clinical compliance and quality of franchisesReport clinical complications immediately as they arise to the Clinical Quality and Training team and ensuring proper documentation (Amua incident report)In coordination with the Clinical Quality & Training Dpt, support and coordinate the implementation of  Training in specific areas:
Skills up date in performing BTLs and IUCDsFamily planning counselingInfection prevention techniquesData collection and interpretation for decision makingImproving quality of care (QOC).Client reception and handlingSkills and methods on how to sustain FP servicesAssessing client satisfaction

Financial Management Specialist

The Government of Kenya (GoK) in conjunction with the World Bank is implementing the Kenya Electricity Expansion Project (KEEP) whose development objectives are: (a) increase the capacity, efficiency and quality of electricity supply; and (b) expand access to electricity in urban, peri-urban and rural areas.
To assist in the administrative responsibility for the day to day operations of the project, a Project
Implementation Team (PIT) has been established under the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum and reports to the Project Coordinator.
We are looking for a highly motivated Kenyan to fill the post of Financial Management Specialist (FMS) on a one year contract (Renewable).
Working closely with the Ministry’s project accountant as part of knowledge transfer, the main responsibilities of the FMS will be to:Maintain efficient and effective financial management policies, systems and procedures for the KEEP in order to ensure that all project resources and finances are properly managed and controlled.Maintain a sound financial and accounting system in accordance with GOK procedures and annually prepare the projects accounts in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards to meet the Project’s reporting obligations.Monitor disbursements of the credit, and prepare withdrawal applications, including required supporting documentation.Prepare projected cash flows and reports, budgets, and other financial reports on the project required for effective control of the budget.Ensure that all books and financial reports are prepared accurately and audited in a timely manner, help accommodate audit undertaken by the Kenya National Audit Office (KENAO), and advise on corrective action as well as future prevention of any accounting, procurement, and financial management mistakes, errors or shortcomings.Prepare monthly Government reporting returns, quarterly unaudited Interim Financial Reports (IFRs) and annual project financial and ensure that they are submitted within the stipulated deadlinesPerform any other duties as assigned by the Project Coordinator.Qualifications, Skills and Experience
